The CX10 model also includes support for a broadcast workflow with features like NDI protocol support to control the camera from a Tricaster and the P2 MXF file format. Panasonic's new camcorders don't require any additional software or hardware for live HD streaming.Īccording to Panasonic, these camcorders are also the first to include its Venus engine, found on the company's mirrorless cameras. Panasonic tells us the cameras can even vary the compression of the stream based on available bandwidth, and video can be recorded in-camera while streaming. URLs and site credentials are stored in-camera, and different sets of credentials can be stored on an SD card for quick loading or switching between accounts. (This is quite different than the live streaming implementation on the Canon G7 X III, which requires you to link the camera to the Canon Image Gateway to stream on YouTube.) Once connected to a Wi-Fi network, they can connect directly to YouTube, Facebook, or any other service that supports live streaming using RTMP. In contrast, Panasonic's new HC-X1500, HC-X2000 and AC-CX10 camcorders don't require any additional software or hardware for live HD streaming. Live streaming to these websites is usually done using RTMP by connecting a camera to a computer running software such as OBS Studio, or a dedicated hardware device like the SlingStudio, to stream to RTMP-compatible services. This is dependent on the size, weight or product type of an order.We don't typically cover camcorder launches, but a trio of new models from Panasonic caught our attention due to one interesting feature: the ability to live stream directly to video platforms such as YouTube, Facebook or other services using RTMP (Real-time Messaging Protocol).
